UGC - NET and Gujarat SET (English): Online Question Papers

This blog is for those students/scholars/teachers who are preparing for UGC NET (English Literature) examination. The students of the Department of English, M.K. Bhavnagar University have prepared these online tests. All those who appear in this online test will get their grades with right answers in email. UGC - NET: Paper pattern

The University Grants Commission (UGC) -National Eligibility Test (NET) July 2016 registration begins. Online form submission will start on the official website of CBSE NET.

Paper pattern
The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on last SUNDAYs of June (this time it is on 10th July 2016) and December in three separate sessions as under:
Paper First I: 100 marks
Number of questions: 60 out of which 50 questions must be attempted
Duration: 1 Hour 15 minutes (9:30 am to 10:45 am) IST
Paper Second II: 100 marks
Number of questions: All 50 questions are compulsory
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes (11:15 am to 12:30 pm) IST
Paper Third III: 150 marks
Number of questions: All 75 questions are compulsory
2 hours 30 minutes (2:00 pm to 04:30 pm) IST
Paper pattern in detail:
Paper-I shall be of a general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. 
60 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each will be given, out of which the candidate will be required to answer any 50. In the event of the candidate attempting more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate will be evaluated.
Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.

All the questions of Paper - II and Paper - III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options).
The candidates will have to mark the responses for the questions of Paper - I, Paper - II and Paper - III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet. 
The syllabi for all NET subjects can be downloaded from the UGC website and are also available in the libraries of all Indian Universities. CBSE will not send the syllabus to individual candidates.
